Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Patrick worked over 17 years at the international printing company Océ-Canon, in research, product development and production in various roles ranging from engineer to project manager and department manager. He managed the development and industrialization of several high end printing systems from R&D to manufacturing.
Geert van Dijk
Over 35 years of experience in the area of medical device development and product management in different roles from engineer to R&D manager at Dräger Medical. Geert is an expert in the field of blower driven ventilator systems. Besides this he developed the anesthesia device “PhysioFlex”. He worked closely together with clinical specialists, nursing personnel and technicians in the hospitals and gained experience in the introduction of new medical concepts directly in hospitals.
Michiel is overall responsible regarding all medical related activities on holding level. He is closely involved in the commercialization of theDEMCON macawi respiratory module. Michiel studied Human Movement Sciences at the University of Groningen and epidemiology at the Free University of Amsterdam. After completing his studies in 1998 he started a PhD research project, within Roessingh R&D on the usability of rehabilitation technology.
Petra has about 15 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable. At DEMCON macawi respiratory systemsI she is responsible for project administration and order intake.
Over 20 years experience as a management assistant. Since 3.5 years she is working at the DEMCON Group where she also acts as management assistant for DEMCON macawi respiratory systems.
Gerben van Oosterhout
Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Applied Physics, Gerben has over 15 years of experience in various High-tech equipment manufacturers like Océ-Canon, ASML and Solaytec. Starting in research, he worked his way through all the development stages ranging from development, production, market introduction to field service for various international customers, managing projects increasing in size and scope up to 30 people.
Peter van den Oever
Peter obtained his PhD in Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology. After graduation he worked as a process engineer and project manager in various high tech companies in the Netherlands. He has been responsible for the development and realization of various products and production lines in the high tech industry. In 2013 Peter joined the DEMCON Group as project manager responsible for development projects both at DEMCON as well as DEMCON macawi respiratory systems.
Frans de Jong
Over 25 years active in the area of medical equipment development and production in various roles ranging from engineer, project management, service management, QA management to systems engineering. Frans has extensive experience in system development, covering system architecture and design as well as software and hardware development.
Wieke van Vuuren
Graduated at the University of Twente in Biomedical Engineering with focus biomechatronics. Wieke works at Demcon since 2010 and has experience in development of algorithms and software for mechatronic systems, design of proof of principle setups, system integration and testing. Wieke works full time on the software for the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules since September 2013.
Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Biomedical Engineering. Irene has 6 years of work experience in developing control systems and algorithms for both medical and high tech systems in a wide field of applications. Currently she works on the development and testing of ventilation and control algorithms for the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules.
Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, with specialization on dynamics and control. Bram has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering since 2015, also obtained at the Eindhoven University of Technology. During his PhD he worked on the control of a broad range of high-tech industrial systems. Currently Bram develops, tests and integrates ventilation related functions and control algorithms of the DEMCON macawi respiratory systems modules.
Ben van den Elshout
Ben joined the DEMCON macawi respiratory systems team in 2015. He received his Master degree in Systems & Control at the Eindhoven University of Technology. During his professional career he gained a broad experience and knowledge in system and machine design. Within the DEMCON macawi respiratory systems team Ben is system engineer for respiratory modules and related products.
Over 7 years of experience in the development of high tech and medical equipment, mostly in the role of lead engineer. Benno has a Master in Applied Physics and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained at the University of Twente. In his work Benno has always worked closely together with the customer to ensure a proper translation of user requirements to innovative technical solutions.
Involved in development on system level of new ventilation systems, from requirement management to proof-of-principle setups. Sebastiaan is also responsible for development of the end test setup for DEMCON macawi respiratory modules. This test is done before the modules are shipped to the customers. Sebastiaan has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering since 2006, obtained at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
Over 25 years of experience in the development of software as well as project management. He has been active in the field of medical respirators for the last 12 years. Sjaak has broad experience with product development and purchasing, and has been traveling around the world for various products. He has been software architect for various medical systems.
Over 7 Years of experience in Embedded Software Development. His experience at a world-leading company in the Netherlands has been proven very useful for the software team for the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules. The last year he was working on the software of the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules itself as well as developing software to help the customer using these modules.
Over 25 years experience in the development of embedded software in several fields of application. He has been active in industrial automation, consumer electronics (Set top boxes) and since almost 2 years in the development of medical devices. Harry always participated in all disciplines of the software development cycle and software maintenance and has build up a broad experience in these areas.
Over 15 years active in the area of electronic equipment development and production in various roles ranging from hardware engineer, systems engineering, project management. Mark has extensive experience in embedded system development, covering system architecture and hardware development.
More than 4 years of experience in electronics design of medical devices and in designs with analog / embedded electronics and medical safety regulations. Jorn worked for 3 years on the electronics of a Finapres non-invasive blood pressure monitor at DEMCON. In 2014 he joined the DEMCON macawi respiratory systems team for the design of the electronics for the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules.
Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He has over 20 years of experience in research and development of mechanical and mechatronic systems in various engineering positions in the Netherlands, Germany and France. For the last 13 years Eugène has been involved in medical respiratory equipment development, with special focus on turbine driven ventilators.
Graduated at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Bas has about 10 years of experience in product development, with a strong affinity towards injection molded products. He has also experience in implementing new developments into volume based series productions. At DEMCON macawi respiratory systems he acts as a link between the engineering and production departments.
Graduated at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences. He Works since several years as mechanical engineer for DEMCON on different projects both in semiconductor and medical industries. Since 2013 he is involved in developing the mechanics of DEMCON macawi respiratory modules.
Marleen van der Wiel
Graduated at the Delft University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in BioMechanical Design. During her graduation she worked on a mechanically actuated impact tool for coronary angioplasty. Since 2015 she is involved in developing the mechanics of DEMCON macawi respiratory modules.
Product Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Graduated at the University of Twente in Biomedical Engineering. Daphne has obtained her PhD at the Biomedical Signals and Systems group, University of Twente. She works at Demcon since 2012 and is quality lead engineer for the development and production of the DEMCON macawi respiratory modules.
Graduated as mechanical engineer at the University of Technology Twente. Reinier has 18 years of experience as production engineer and project manager for various companies in the Netherlands. He has been involved in the development and realization of different qualification tools for the semicon and other high-tech industries for the last five years. Since summer 2014 Reinier is working as program manager for various products.
